Career Decision Specialist · The Career Edit
I've spent over 15 years in recruitment and hiring — across agency and in-house roles — sitting on both sides of the table. I've read the CVs, run the interviews, and made the calls on who gets the offer. That's given me a pretty clear-eyed view of what actually moves a career forward, and what doesn't.
Along the way I've worked with people at organisations including University of Auckland, Fletcher Building, IAG, Mercury Energy, AutoGrow and Hays Recruitment — plus Interface Recruitment New Zealand, which is my own recruitment business — helping both individuals and organisations make confident hiring and career decisions.
I hold a BA (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism, and I'm a CDANZ Affiliate. But the thing I actually lean on most is 15+ years of pattern recognition — knowing what a "stay or go" decision looks like from the inside, because I've watched hundreds of people make that call.
I started The Career Edit because most career advice is either generic (personality quizzes that tell you what you already know) or expensive (traditional coaching with no way to try before you commit). I wanted something in between: a genuine, evidence-based read on your situation, built from real hiring-market experience — not just an algorithm guessing at your MBTI type.
My approach: human judgement supported by technology, never replaced by it. The Career Clarity Assessment gets you a fast, free starting point. If you want to go deeper, the Career Clarity Report and The Career Edit Session are there when you're ready — no pressure, no packages, just the support that actually fits where you are.
